1 Month Old

Nicholas~

Baby boy, has it really been a whole month since you were born??  Mommy really can't believe how fast this month has gone.  It feels like yesterday that we were in the hospital and I was staring down at my beautiful baby boy on the morning you were born.  It was just the two of us and I couldn't stop looking at how perfect you are.

I love our quiet morning time.  I know that our mornings are numbered as my maternity leave is coming to an end, but for now I am going to enjoy our snuggle time.  You are such a happy baby in the morning- I just love spending time with you!

I love how, when you are sleeping, you grunt and make all of your cute baby noises.  Sometimes, after I rock you back to sleep at night, I stay in your room extra long just to hear you.  I love how you coo in your sleep.  I love how you smile and sometimes laugh in your sleep, even though I know these are probably just from gas at this point... don't care, still love it :)

I love how, when I am feeding you, sometimes you open your eyes really wide and just stare up at me.  I love how wide eyed you get when we are burping you.  Although I don't want you to be in pain, I love how concentrated you look when you are obviously trying to work some gas through your little system.

I love how you are starting to pay more attention to what is around you.  I love how you look at Daisy, Ariel, Jasmine, and Mason... we can't wait for when you are old enough to play with them.  I love how cute you look when you are sleeping in your bouncy seat or swing.

I love how agitated you get when we are changing your clothes and how you grunt your obvious disapproval at being naked baby.  I love that you love bath time and can't wait until you are a bit bigger so we can watch you play and have fun in the tub.

I love how you look up at me and Daddy with total unconditional love. I love that we get to watch you grow up!

Nicholas's birth story, part 2

So we were sent home from the hospital on Saturday night.  We spent the next few days lounging around and basically not doing much since I was still on bedrest due to the pre-e.  On Monday we ventured out and got mani/pedi's at a place that my friend Emily told me about.  Great mani/pedi!  Will definitely be heading back there.  Tuesday morning I went for a follow up appt with my doctor.  She explained that sometimes these failed inductions "just happen."  My BP was still looking pretty good so she said we should just sit tight and see what would happen.  She said that she was thinking she would tentatively send us to the hospital for induction on Sunday night but was definitely still keeping her options open.  We left the appt pretty disappointed.  We were just so ready to meet our little guy, and I was just OVER being pregnant at that point.

Mom and I spent the afternoon relaxing.  It was super hot so we sat in the backyard and soaked up some sun-- also dragged out the kiddie pool so we could put our feet in.  My feet were looking kind of swollen, but that was nothing new.  Daisy was outside with us and we were having fun trying to coax her in the water.  She is such a chicken shit!  My Mom made an awesome turkey dinner that night with a turkey breast we had in the freezer.  After dinner, I got up from the table and she noticed that my feet looked even more swollen than before.  We took my BP with the cuff we have at home and it was high... something like 160/90.  She was immediately concerned.  I wasn't convinced that that cuff was giving us a totally accurate reading, so Josh and I went out to go to CVS and use the machine there.  I got a reading something like 180/100 and thought that there was no way it could be that high.  We went to the firehouse nearby and had one of the EMT's take my BP and he confirmed that it was 170/100.  Called the hospital and they said to come on in.

By the time we got to the hospital my BP was 192/110.  I freaked out a bit and the nurse was like, its OK!  They decided to admit me (obviously!) and start the induction process again.  It was close to midnight by the time we got admitted.  They gave me some drugs to lower the BP and then started me on Cervadil to start the induction around 2 am.  This drug was supposed to help soften the cervix to help it dilate.  After that they told us to relax and get some sleep... nothing else would happen until the next morning.  Josh and I both slept but my poor Mom was stuck sleeping in the chair in the room and didn't get much sleep.  I sent them both home the next morning to try and get some sleep and told them I would call if anything happened.

Around 10 am, the stopped the Cervadil and started me on Pitocin.  I was having mild contractions but they weren't too bad- really just felt like menstrual cramps.  My doctor came in and said that she would try to break my water once I dilated a bit more so I called Josh and told him to head back.  They ended up breaking my water around 1 or 2 pm.  At that point, I was happy because it meant that I would not be sent home again.  I labored for several more hours and got up to about a 4 or so.  The whole time the contractions really weren't that bad.  We watched several movies and just hung out.

Around 5 or 6 pm, I decided to go ahead and get the epidural.  Although my contractions hadn't been that bad I was convinced they were going to get much worse and wasn't looking forward to that kind of pain.  I had heard all of these wonderful stories about women who get the epidural and then have a totally blissed out experience and feel no pain- perhaps just a bit of pressure during the pushing stage.

The epidural process kind of sucks.  You have to bend over and lay completely still while they stick a needle in your back and thread a catheter down your spine.  Not the most comfortable process to say the least.  Thank God I had Josh there to help calm me down and hold me :)  Once they got the thing placed and I was starting to feel numb, I started getting very tired.  Then an alarm went off- turns out the epidural made my BP crash.  It was something like 70/50 or something like that.  So, I had to have several injections of Ephedra to try and increase it, as well as the oxygen mask.  I could hardly stay awake!

By the time they got me all situated again, it was probably 8 pm.  I was checked and they said that I had dilated to about a 5.  The on call doctor came in and said that one of his patients was down the hall and already at an 8 and that he suspected she was going to "beat" me.  I responded that it wasn't a race!  I was feeling pretty good for awhile but then definitely started feeling some pressure that was getting progressively worse every few minutes.  After about an hour I complained to the nurse about it and she checked me again-- she said that there was no more cervix!  I had gone from a 5 to a 10 in roughly an hour which is pretty fast.

The pressure was getting really bad, and although she gave me several more hits of the epidural medicine, nothing seemed to help.  She said I would just have to start pushing. This was at about 11 pm.  I pushed and pushed and pushed and pushed.  They kept telling me how strong I was and how great I was pushing but I didn't understand why, if I was pushing so well, it was taking so long to get the baby out!  We tried several different positions and techniques but still no baby.  After almost 2 hours, the doctor came in and said he thought he would be able to get the baby out with the vacuum.  Although we hadn't really wanted any interventions, we were under the impression that we were almost out of time and options before they suggested a c-section so we went ahead and gave the OK for the vacuum.  On the next push, Nicholas was born at 12:55 am on Thursday, September 16th.

They took him over to the bassinet and cleaned him up and did his APGAR test, which he scored an 8 and 9.  Josh came over and told me that he thought the baby looked like me.  I told him to go over and be with the baby- I didn't want him to be alone!  The doctor and nurse were working on fixing me up- I had a second degree tear that needed to be repaired.

Finally they brought me my baby!  I will never forget the way I felt when the put him in my arms.  Instant, unconditional love.  Totally indescribable and I immediately started to cry, weep even.  Definitely the best moment of my life.

We hung out in the delivery room for a few hours while they got us all sorted out, fixed up, cleaned up, etc.  I tried to nurse the baby for the first time but he really didn't latch very well.  More on that later.  I got to order some food (it had been prolly 12 hours since I ate, and I was hungry from all of that pushing!) so I had some pancakes, which were awesome.  I probably had pancakes 5 more times during my stay there- for some reason I was obsessed with them lol.  Around 3 am, they finally moved us to the mother baby unit to our recovery room.  On the way, we were able to hit the button that plays a lullaby that the whole hospital can hear to signify that a new baby has entered the world.  It was a really special moment.

By the time we were settled in our recovery room, I could barely keep my eyes open.  We were all so tired from really not having a proper night sleep since Monday night.  The nurse was trying to go over some information with us but I think she could tell that I was done.  We let them go ahead and take the baby to the nursery so that he could get a more thorough checkup and get his first bath.  We finally got to sleep around 3:30 am.  What a day!

They brought him back to the room around 7 am.  By that time, my Mom had gotten up and drove home to get a few hours of real sleep and get a shower.  Josh was totally passed out and sleeping on the couch.  I again tried to nurse Nicholas but didn't have much luck.  So, I spent the next few hours just cuddling with him and staring at him.  It was so awesome!

The next few days in the hospital are kind of a blur.  We spent a lot of time just staring at our baby!  Jason and Julie stayed in town for a few extra days so that they could spend time with him.  We tried nursing several more times, and had some success while the lactation consultants were around but not too much success on our own.  It was stressing me out that I didn't think he was getting enough to eat, but he was having the correct amount of wet and dirty diapers so the nurses told me not to worry too much about it.  We spent Thursday and Friday night in the hospital and then were discharged on Saturday afternoon.  Mom was here to welcome Nicholas home with us!

Nicholas's birth story, part 1

After my last regular post, we had our second 37 week appointment on Friday, 9/10.  At that point, my BP was again elevated (in the 150/90 range) so my doctor told us that she didn't see any reason to keep me pregnant any longer.  She explained that with the elevated BP it wasn't worth the risk and that it was time to induce.  Josh and I were so excited!  We headed home to grab our stuff and then made our way to the hospital.  On the way we pretty much called all of the family and updated Facebook to let everybody know that baby Nicholas was on the way!  My parents and my brother and his wife both left WI and headed to IN so that they would be here in time for the delivery.

We got to the hospital and checked in by late afternoon.  They started the induction by giving me several rounds of Cytotek.  We knew it was going to be a process since when the doctor checked me that afternoon, my cervix was still closed.  After the first few rounds of Cytotek, I had dilated to about a 1- not much progress but I was definitely feeling the contractions.  My parents arrived late, maybe around 11 pm.  They stopped in the hospital to say Hi and then headed to our house since it was clear that nothing was going to happen that night.  I spent a pretty uncomfortable night due to the contractions and the annoying monitors they strap to your belly to monitor the baby.  Also, the bed they had me in must serve a dual purpose as a torture device.  It was easily the most uncomfortable bed I have ever been in!  I should also mention that they were continuing to monitor my BP and it actually went down the whole time we were there.

They started the Pitocin early the next morning.  I started having pretty painful contractions.  With the Pitocin, I dilated up to around 1.5 and then pretty much stalled out.  My brother and his wife arrived at the hospital in the early afternoon and we were all just kind of hanging out, waiting for something to happen.  One of the nurses noticed that at the end of my contractions, the baby would have a small dip in his heart rate.  She explained that it meant that he was not tolerating the contractions well and they decided to stop the Pitocin to give him and me a break.  We walked the halls for a bit and then monitor the baby for a while to see how he was doing without the influence of the Pitocin.

After our walk, they monitored the baby and decided that he was happy as a clam. The doctor (on call doctor for the practice) came in and basically said that he was thinking about sending me home due to the fact that my BP was stable, and the baby was fine.  Basically, if we were to continue with the induction and continue to stress the baby it could end up in a C-section situation since I wasn't dilating on my own.  While I was not happy about being sent home without a baby, I appreciated the fact that I was not being pushed toward a C-section and felt that everybody involved was looking out for our best interests.  Plus, I was sick and tired of that damned uncomfortable bed and just wanted to get the hell home.  The doctor did say that lots of times these "failed inductions" do result in labor starting on its own within the next few days, so we were hopeful for that.

So, we packed up all of our stuff and went home.  My Dad stayed until the next day, and my Mom and Jason and Julie decided to stick around.  My Mom had planned to stay for a few weeks after the baby was born, and Jason and Julie had prepaid for their hotel room so it just made sense for them to stay.  We spent the next few days just relaxing around the house and hanging out.  I was basically still on bedrest so I wasn't the best company.  I remember telling my brother a few times that I was sorry for being a total Bitch, but I think everybody understood where I was coming from LOL.  I am lucky to have such understanding, caring family :)

Nicholas Jason is here!

Nicholas Jason made his way into the world on September 16, 2010 at 12:55 am.  He weighed 6 lbs, 12 oz and was 19.5 inches long.  He was 12 days early.

Fun fact:  Nicholas was born on my Mom's birthday.  She as said since the beginning of the pregnancy that she wanted him to be born on her birthday.  Guess she got her wish :)

Birth story to follow....

Week 37: Swiss Chard

So.... Week 37.  Baby is aprox 6 1/3 lbs, 19 inches long, like a stalk of Swiss Chard.  For those of you that don't know what the hell Swiss Chard is, feast your eyes on this:

Health wise, baby and I are both doing well.  I am still seeing the doctor twice a week (Tuesdays and Fridays) where they monitor the baby and then check my BP and urine for protein.  I have also been getting checked for any dilation progress b/c my Doctor prefers to induce starting at 37 weeks if the Mom has pre-eclampsia, which I do.  However, little Nicholas must not be interested in joining us yet because I have made zero progress so far- cervix is completely closed.  Bummer.  Don't get me wrong-- I want him to cook as long as he needs to, I am just getting pretty tired of bedrest and just being pregnant in general.  I am sore in lots of places, tired, can't sleep much b/c I have to pee about 576 times each night.  I just want to meet the baby now!!!

Not much to report other that that, thanks to the bedrest.

Week 36: Crenshaw Melon

First of all, what the hell is a Crenshaw Melon?  Never heard of it.  Babycenter certainly comes up with some strange fruit comparisons!  Anyway, here is the pic:

Went to the doctor this morning for my tuesday appt (going tuesdays and fridays now that I have pre-e.)  Baby looked good on the Non Stress Test.  Pretty sure I had a contraction while hooked up to the machine.  That thing hurt!  My blood pressure looked good too.  Got another 24 hour urine test to bring back to them on Friday (YAY I get to pee in a jug for 24 hours!) and they will check on Friday to see if I have made any progress in terms of dilation- as of last Friday the cervix was closed and high.  If, at week 37, which is next week, I look good for induction, we will probably proceed with that due to the pre e.  At this point, if the pre-e gets any worse, we will proceed with induction.  She also said that if I were to go into labor on my own at this point that she wouldn't stop it.  So, I guess all of this means that we could have a baby any time now!  Woo Hoo!!!

Cute baby stuff I learned about on the Internet

So, I'm very grateful (especially now that I am on couch rest) for the Internet.  For one thing, there is a wealth of information out there that I can arm myself with so that I am prepared when I hear things like Glucose testing, Quad Screening, and Pre-Eclampsia- all things I have had to deal with so far during this pregnancy.

Another reason I love the internet is because of online shopping :)  Here are some of the cute baby finds that I found online (thanks to the Bump) that I would have otherwise been pretty oblivious about.

Babylegs.  Seriously, I think these are the cutest damn things I have ever seen.  People keep saying, what, you are going to put leg warmers on a BOY???  Hey, if its OK with his Daddy, then it should be OK with all of you. Besides, when said leg warmers have FLAMES on them, they can't possibly be girly!

Onesie stickers:  We will document Nicholas's first year of growth with these stickers:

They are stickers that you stick to a plain onesie and then take his picture to document how much he grows each month.  Look forward to monthly updates people :)

Week 35: Honeydew Melon

Just to get back to the weekly size comparisons, this week the baby is approx the size of a honeydew melon.  Sweet Jesus how am I going to get this baby out of me?!?

Fast Forward

It is now August 28 and I am nearly 36 weeks pregnant with our little boy.  Things had been continuing to be pretty uneventful as far as the pregnancy was concerned.  Late in the second trimester I took the infamous Glucose test to test for Gestational Diabetes, which I failed.  That meant I had to go back for the 3 hour version of the test where I got to drink a lovely sugar drink and then have my blood drawn every hour for the 3 hours.  That was sure fun.  I was relieved when I found out that I passed.

In the beginning of the third trimester, I started having more and more issues with numbness in my hands and fingers.  Dr. Mills explained that it was due to pregnancy related carpel tunnel and that there wasn't really much I could do about it.  Fantastic!  Then I started having swelling in my feet and ankles.  Again, she said that swelling is a pretty normal pregnancy complication and that I was lucky I wasn't getting varicose veins like she got, LOL.

At 33 weeks, I took a trip to NJ for work.  This was fully OK'd by my doctor and I really thought it would be fine.  The work part of the trip was great, but honestly, traveling alone being that pregnant was really not very fun.  Plus it was HOT and HUMID as hell out there and I was pretty miserable.  My feet started swelling like CRAZY during that trip and I started having some pretty nasty headaches.

The next week, at my normal 34 week appointment, my blood pressure was through the roof.  Like 150/100.  They did some extra urine and blood labs and diagnosed me with mild pre-eclampsia and said that I needed to be on bedrest until I deliver.  Awesome.

That was nearly 2 weeks ago.  So far bedrest (or as I like to call it, couchrest) is going pretty well.  My body is definitely responding to it.  My blood pressure is down, the swelling is down, and the protein level in my urine is down- all good things.  We had an ultrasound yesterday where they estimated Nicholas to weigh 5 lbs 6 oz which is normal and they were pleased with his movement and the level of amniotic fluid.  Also did an internal and told me that my cervix is closed and high, so that means he is probably not ready to come out any time soon.

Hopefully he continues to bulk up and then decides to come out a few weeks early.  Honestly, I am going to be really sad if I have to blow 5 of my weeks of maternity leave before he gets here and then only have 7 or 8 weeks off with him once he comes out.  Last week the doctor was talking about induction around 39 weeks for sure or possibly earlier if I was favorable for it and he was ready.  We will see what happens.  In the meantime, maybe I can get myself back into this blogging habit!  I did get a new toy last week, so soon I will be showing you lots of pretty pictures :)

Katchup!

Obviously I have been a huge blog slacker!  It is July 3 and has been over 3 months since my last post.  I could kick myself because, more than anything, I really want this blog to be something I can look back on and remember this time.  Oh well, I will try to be better!

I am in the 27th week of pregnancy this week.  Since my last post, we found out that we are having a baby BOY.  At the 20 week ultrasound they do a full anatomy scan and you get to see everything.  We saw his organs, spine, other bones, face, etc.  The doctors say that so far everything looks perfect.  I go in again this week for a routine test for gestational diabetes- lets hope I don't have that!

So for some updates...

I started feeling the baby kick around 17 or 18 weeks.  Its a pretty strange feeling at first- sort of like you are not really sure if you are feeling the effects of that spicy burrito or maybe its something else... after 2 days I decided that it couldn't have been the burrito!  Every week the kicks get stronger and stronger.  I'm sure that by the end of this I will be getting tired of getting kicked, but for now it's a nice reminder that he is safely tucked away in there.

Like I said, we had an ultrasound at 20 weeks.  Here are some pics!

20 Weeks- It's a BOY
This one is the "Money Shot" lol.  The technician informed us that either this is a BOY, or a girl with three legs.  I am going to go with the BOY option :)  She also said that our Boy is not shy because unlike some more modest babies, he flashed us a good 10 times so there is no doubt that we have a boy on our hands.

20 Weeks- face
Here is a pic of his face.  You can also see his spine.  I think this picture is kind of creepy, but my Mom loves it.  Says she thinks it looks like Josh wearing sunglasses.

20 weeks- legs and feet
Here is one of his legs and feet.

In May I made several trips home to WI which was nice.  My Mom was in Indianapolis for work so I went down there and we had a nice dinner and did some baby shopping.  Came home for that weekend and  my Dad came down to visit and pick her up.  We ordered the crib and dresser that weekend which came the next week.  Took a trip to Raynham MA for work and had a great time there.  Met up with one of the girls I met online on the Nest while wedding planning- Hi Casey! and also had dinner with my friend Amber who I have not seen in years.  Went home again in June for my first baby shower which was awesome.  This baby is already so loved!  We have been working on his room which I am going to wait until it is finished to post any pics.  We celebrated our first wedding anniversary last weekend- Can't believe how fast this year has flown by.  I feel so lucky!  This weekend (4th of July) we are visiting Josh's family in Pittsburgh.  Everybody has been very excited to see the baby bump!

I guess I will leave the update at this for now.  I am really seriously (hopefully) going to try to resume the weekly updates.

27 weeks Cauliflower- starting to scare me that the last picture in this series is a PUMPKIN.  Excuse me, something roughly the size of a pumpkin is going to come out of where now?!?

Catching Up!

I got kind of sick of blogging for awhile, so I have missed the last seven weeks of baby updates.  Sorry about that.  Well, lots of development/growth have been happening in terms of the baby.  It is now week 16 and the baby is the size of an avocado! Hard to think that Monkey started out the size of a poppyseed and is now this big.  Can't believe (or am choosing not to think about the fact that it will be as big as a pumpkin when fully baked )
I have been feeling really good.  We had a few little problems with spotting around week 9 and then what the doctor thinks was a kidney stone at week 10.  The best part of those two things were that we got to see the baby!

Week 9 ultrasound:
Baby wasn't looking like much of a baby in these pics.  I think this was still at the point where it was kind of shrimp like LOL.... however, it is AMAZING what a difference 1 week can make in fetal development....

Week 10 Ultrasound:

Hard to believe the last pics were taken almost 7 weeks ago!  Since then we have gotten to hear the heartbeat twice but have not seen the baby again.  My next appointment is the 14th of May and we will have an ultrasound that day.  My Mom is going to be in town so she will be here for that and will be with us when we learn if it is a boy or girl!

We have been making lots of baby purchases and starting to look into baby room purchase ideas.  We found a crib set at that we like and are basically just waiting until we find out the sex to order- still trying to decide between black vs. white furniture.  After we find out what sex the baby is we will probably go ahead and get registered.  Sounds like I am going to be having 3 baby showers so can't wait for that either!

In other news, my class is finishing up this week.  I put the final touches on their final exam which they will get to do as a take home next week.  I will also be going on Tuesday to watch their final presentation for their group project.  I have learned a lot from this experience and look forward to doing it again.  They haven't offered me any additional classes yet so I am looking into possibly doing some online classes in the meantime.

Thats about it for now.  Seriously going to try to be a better blogger and keep up with the weekly updates!

Week 9: Grape

We are at week 9 and the baby is the size of a Grape!  Almost bigger than the quarter now!!

Week 9 the nausea started to subside, but I still noticed it in the mornings after my morning commute.  I did notice some spotting this week, so after calling my doctor, they had me come in for an impromptu ultrasound.  I was not supposed to see the baby until week 20, so I was excited to finally see in there!!!  I will post the Week 9 ultrasound pics a bit later- I need to edit them a bit to erase my last name- never can be too careful with the internet crazies!

Baby is looking more and more human and less like a shrimp or alien, which is a good thing!  All of the essential body parts are accounted for and the embryonic tail is completely gone!  The placenta is almost fully developed. Baby's job over the next 30 weeks is to gain gain gain weight!

Josh and I took a trip to FL to visit his mom during week 9.  We had a fantastic time, and thanks to our impromptu doctors visit, had ultrasound pictures to surprise her with to tell her about the baby.  She was very excited!!!  Happily, the weather in FL was really nice, but the weather back home was much improved by the time we returned.

One more week of back posting and I will be caught up!

Week 8: Kidney Bean

We are now at Week 8 of the pregnancy and baby is the size of a kidney bean!

Not much has changed for me in the past week.  The nausea continues but I have not actually gotten sick yet, which I am so grateful for.  Still no really weird cravings- I did polish off almost a whole jar of pickles, but I like those even when not pregnant so I don't call that a craving!

Developmentally, the eyelids and lungs are being further developed this week.  The baby's brain cells are busy creating neural pathways.  Babycenter says that the baby is moving all around, but I still can't feel a thing since the little bugger is still so small.

Week 7: Blueberry

We are now at Week 7 and baby is the size of a Blueberry

I got behind on blogging a bit and am actually writing this post from Week 11 and trying to remember week 7.  What I do remember is my first doctors appointment, which was actually pretty uneventful.  I took a urine test to confirm the pregnancy, got some blood drawn, and made a follow up appointment.  That was about it.  It was snowing that day and the nurse correctly guessed that it was my first baby because "nobody else would come out in this storm!"  People in Indiana are such wimps when it comes to snow, honestly!

The nausea was pretty bad around week 7, in fact, probably the worst it got.  Boy, am I glad that is over!!!

Developmentally, the baby doubled in size since week 6 and hands and feet are starting to emerge.  The tail is getting smaller and will be completely gone within a few weeks (thank goodness!)  The brain and other organs continue to develop, as well as the umbilical cord.

I am still looking pretty much the same, although am starting to feel a bit tight and uncomfortable.  Goes with the territory I guess!

Baby B's first Harley Shirt!

So, my Dad has a Harley and is pretty involved with the Harley Owners Group and generally loves all things Harley. Including T-shirts. The man has got to have, easily, 200 of the things- usually picks one up whenever he travels to a new place, or when one of us kids travels to a new place, or whenever the sky is blue. Get it?

So, its only fitting, that Baby B's first onesie would be a Harley Davidson one! My Mom picked it up this past week, I think at the Minneapolis airport. She was dying to make a baby related HD purchase :)

Week 3: We are pregnant!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

We found out that Baby B was on the way on Sunday, January 17. Our reaction was a mixture of shock and joy. I mean, we were obviously trying to make this happen but its was still kind of a shock to see those 2 lines on the home pregnancy test. The estimated due date is September 28, 2010.

I called and made an appointment with a new doctor, but they don't even want to see me until 10 weeks, so we have some waiting to do. I decided to get a new doctor because I wanted to be able to go the clinic/hospital on this side of town vs. driving to the north side of town. Will just make doctors visits and such that much easier.

For now this blog is pretty much going to be a secret except for the few people that know. We don't want to tell too many people about Baby B just yet. After the Dr. appointment in March is when we will probably make our announcements to the world.

I can't wait to document this journey with this blog!

Apparently, Baby B looks something like this right now. Isn't our little Monkey adorable?!? :)

Fetal Development - Week 3 Blastocyst
